We Did It! Big Give Target Reached - Thank You for Making It Happen
We’re delighted to share some wonderful news: thanks to your generosity, we hit our fundraising target in The Big Give and raised just over £10,000! Your donations during the campaign were doubled, and together, we raised a vital amount to help us continue our work with vulnerable young women.
Why It Matters
At Contact Hostel, we provide more than just a bed. We offer safety, stability and support to teenage girls who have nowhere else to turn. Many arrive at our door with nothing - having experienced trauma, neglect or homelessness.
The funds raised through The Big Give go straight into the heart of what we do:
Keeping our building warm, safe and welcoming
Providing one-to-one support from trusted adults
Offering essentials like bedding, food, toiletries and clothes
Supporting mental health and emotional wellbeing
Empowering young women to rebuild their lives and look towards a more hopeful future
This kind of core, unrestricted funding is increasingly hard to come by, yet it’s exactly what enables us to be flexible, responsive and deeply human in our approach. That’s why this success is so meaningful.
