We’re thrilled to announce that, for the very first time, we’re putting together our own team of Contact Hostel supporters to take on the Great Manchester Run 10K.

We’ve secured a limited number of charity places, so this is your chance to be part of something special - helping provide a safe home to teenage girls whilst joining thousands of runners on one of the UK’s most exciting road races.

The Great Manchester Run 10K is a citywide celebration of community and achievement. You’ll race through the heart of Manchester, with live music, buzzing crowds and an incredible finish on Deansgate beneath the iconic Beetham Tower.

How it works:

  1. Claim your place (hurry - numbers are limited!)

  2. Receive your fundraising pack and running vest.

  3. Set up your fundraising page and start spreading the word.

  4. Join us on race day and be part of Contact Hostel’s very first team in the Great Manchester Run!

Enjoy a fantastic evening of female stand-up comedy while making a difference in the lives of homeless teenage girls in Manchester. All proceeds from this charity night will go directly to Contact Hostel, helping vulnerable young women find hope and stability.

Manchester Charity Dragon Boat Race 2024

Looking for a team challenge with a difference?

Registrations are now open for The Manchester Dragon Boat Race 2024. Each team made up of between 11 and 17 participants, will race in genuine Chinese dragon boats.

No prior experience is necessary and training is provided on the day. Fitness is not a key factor – it’s all about teamwork and timing.

Rowers must be aged 16 or over and drummers must be 12 or over.

Spring 5k and 10k - Virtual Runner UK

Spring 5k and 10k - Virtual Runner UK

Run or walk 5k or 10k (depending on which distance you sign up for) between 1st April and 30th April 2024 to claim your bling! This distance is to be done in one go – this is not a cumulative challenge.

Submissions proving your distance and showing your race time will be required by 3rd May 2024 at 12 noon to claim your medal. Anything after this date, will not be accepted, you will not appear on the results and will not get your medals.

Once you have submitted, patiently wait for the post to arrive with your medal which will be sent within 5 working days after approval of your submission!

A minimum of 20% donation (from the full price entry) will be donated to Contact.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres), usually in this order, and in under 12 hours.
