What we offer

Contact is a charity providing accommodation and practical support for homeless teenage girls from the Manchester area. We have helped over 800 young women get back on their feet, and help them move onto better, happier futures.

They may have experienced relationship breakdowns, domestic violence, forced marriage, threatened abduction as well as physical and emotional abuse.

We have 8 bedrooms, offering a welcoming and homely atmosphere in the heart of South Manchester. We also help young women with the next stage, whether they want to return to education, start a job or explore training opportunities.

Contact Hostel is committed to protecting the children and young people we support and accommodate.

We have a comprehensive safeguarding policy which is reviewed annually, and we ensure that all employees and volunteers receive regular safeguarding training. Contact has a named Safeguarding Officer.

Contact works in partnership with other accommodation and support providers which now makes up the Young Persons Alliance which operates all over Manchester, and which we are proud to be a member of.

The team at Contact Hostel is skilled at identifying and responding to the needs of the young people it supports and accommodates. Alongside schools and colleges around Manchester, sometimes we also bring in the help of specialist organisations. These include:
