Contact Hostel wins Spirit of Manchester Award for Tackling Inequalities

We’re absolutely thrilled to share that Contact Hostel has won the Spirit of Manchester Award in the “Tackling Inequalities” category!

The Spirit of Manchester Awards, run by Manchester Community Central, celebrate the people, organisations and initiatives making an incredible difference across the city. The Tackling Inequalities award recognises those who are working hard to create a fairer, more inclusive Manchester - and we couldn’t be prouder to be recognised for the work we do supporting young women who are experiencing homelessness.

Every day, our team provides not just a safe place to stay, but the care, stability and encouragement that help young women rebuild their lives and move towards independence. This award is a wonderful recognition of that ongoing commitment.

Our staff members Hannah and Victoria attended the awards evening to accept the accolade on behalf of the whole Contact team - and they described the night as “inspiring and emotional, surrounded by so many people doing incredible work in our community.”

We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Manchester Community Central and to everyone who supports Contact. Together, we’re helping to make a real difference and to ensure every young woman has the opportunity to thrive.
