Contact Hostel Creates Lasting Memories with Centre Parcs Trip

Residents get ready to take on the high ropes at Centre Parcs, with our Support Worker, Alex.

Thanks to our Good Memories Fund, the girls from Contact Hostel were recently treated to a weekend at Centre Parcs - an experience many of the girls had never enjoyed before, and an opportunity to create exactly what the fund promises: good memories.

The girls and staff alike challenged themselves, bonded over daily dinners and embraced new adventures. Whether it was facing their fears high above the forest floor or trying out the waterslides, everyone took on new challenges, built resilience and came back with a real sense of accomplishment.

Contact Hostel provides accommodation and support for teenage girls facing homelessness, many of whom have experienced trauma and instability. While the charity is not open to the public, it plays a vital role in helping young women rebuild their lives. Opportunities like this trip - made possible only through donations to our Good Memories Fund - are rare but incredibly impactful.

To quote one of the girls:
“The staff were incredibly calm and supportive throughout the entire trip. They were fun to be around, and the schedule was perfectly organised. They knew exactly how everything was running, which made everything run smoothly and helped us all feel at ease. It was something I’ve never had the chance to experience before, so thank you - we'll never forget it.”

We’re deeply thankful to our Good Memories Fund supporters for making this trip possible. This trip wasn’t just a weekend away, it was a powerful reminder to the girls that they are valued, supported and deserving of joy.
