Contact Hostel Girls Enjoy an Unforgettable Day Out

Residents from Contact Hostel were recently treated to an unforgettable day out at Alton Towers, filled with fun, laughter and plenty of rollercoaster rides. The trip was organised to give the young people a chance to relax, socialise and make lasting memories outside of their usual routine.

For some residents, it was their first time visiting the theme park and the excitement was clear to see. From adrenaline-fuelled rides to time spent together over food and games, the day offered a much-needed break and a chance to bond as a group.

One resident said:

“I absolutely loved the trip! The rides were so much fun, and it was a great chance to get to know the other girls better before going back to school. I felt really supported by all the staff – they’re the best!”

The day trip is part of Contact Hostel’s ongoing commitment to creating positive experiences for residents, helping to build confidence and strengthen the sense of community within the hostel.

Our Senior Support Worker Karen reflected:

“It was a wonderful trip – full of laughter and fun, with some of the girls showing real bravery on the rides. Alton Towers is such a special experience for our residents, giving them the chance to build social skills, resilience and confidence while simply enjoying themselves. Thanks to our funders, we were able to give the girls a much-needed break from daily stresses and the opportunity to relax and have fun together.”
